Who controls your data

WEB TECH SOLUTIONS LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through domain-wise.uk.

What we collect, and why

• Account details — your name, email address and password, so you can sign in and manage your domains.
• Registrant details — name, address, phone number and email. These are required by domain registries and are passed to them; we cannot register a domain without them.
• Order and payment records — what you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our systems.
• Technical data — your IP address and basic request information, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Who we share it with

Domain registries and our domain registrar partner, because a registration cannot be completed without passing your registrant details to them. Our payment provider, to take payment. We do not sell your data.

Public registry records

Registries publish certain registrant information. Nominet allows registrants who are individuals rather than businesses to opt out of having their address published; domains registered for the purposes of a business have their details published. Rules differ by extension, and the registry, not us, controls what is published.

How long we keep it

For as long as you hold a domain or service with us, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep records — typically six years for transaction records under UK tax law.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
